Spring, with plants bursting into bud and blossom, always seems a fitting time to perform Joseph Haydn’s great choral work The Creation.

The Creation was written between 1797 and 1798 and considered by many to be one of Haydn’s masterpieces. The oratorio depicts and celebrates the creation of the world as described in the Book of Genesis.

South Devon Choir will be conducted by Simon Dunbavand with Ian Curror accompanying on the organ. We are pleased to welcome back soloists Katie Wright, soprano, Mark Hounsell, tenor and John Hobbs, baritone.
