Seaside Serenade

South Devon Choir celebrates its seaside location in the lovely area of Torbay this summer by singing a medley of sea-related songs.  Join us on Saturday 7 July 2018 at 7.30pm to hear the wonderful Andrew Carter’s Horizons, much loved choruses and solos from Gilbert & Sullivan’s H M S Pinafore, Rule Britannia, Four Songs for Sailors (Dyson) and Songs of the Sea (Stanford) including the famous Drakes Drum.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Choir will be joined once again by well known soprano soloist Hannah Sawle and bass soloist John Hobbs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

John Hobbs, our Musical Director and Choirmaster will be conducting as usual but we shall also have the added treat of hearing him sing.  John Hobbs is a well-known West Country bass soloist and while we frequently get the chance to hear him sing as he fills in parts at rehearsals our audiences usually get to see his back!
