Central Church, Tor Hill Road, Torquay – 7.30pm – Saturday 6 July
South Devon Choir hits the opera this summer with a selection of favourite opera choruses and solos. What could be nicer on a summer’s evening than listening to familiar and well-loved pieces of operatic music? We can’t offer you a picnic but there will be ice cream!
Join us and listen to the March of the Toreadors, The Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves, Brindisi, Habanera among others and amazing duets and arias by our professional soloists including “Au Fond du Temple Saint” from The Pearl Fishers and “Vissi d’Arte” from Tosca.
The concert is conducted by Musical Director, John Hobbs, and accompanied on the piano by Simon Dunbavand.
We welcome back two professional artists, soprano Cheryl Brendish and tenor, Arthur Swan and our own John Hobbs, who is a professional baritone soloist as well as our Musical Director.
So join us for a summer evening of operatic entertainment.
