Our summer concert takes place on Saturday 6 June 2026 at St Matthias Church, Wellswood, Torquay.

Our summer programme brings together three exhilarating works that celebrate brilliance, drama, and sheer musical joy. Handel’s Zadok the Priest ignites the concert with its famous slow‑burn orchestral opening and explosive choral entry, a moment that has crowned British ceremonies for nearly three centuries. Mozart’s radiant Coronation Mass is with music full of elegance and festive colour, its soaring lines and luminous harmonies capturing the spirit of celebration that earned it its regal nickname. Vivaldi takes centre stage twice: his the vibrant Gloria, a tapestry of exuberant choral writing and tender solo movements, and with Summer from The Four Seasons, a thrilling depiction of shimmering heat and tempestuous storms. Together, these works create a concert of grandeur, energy, and vivid storytelling—an uplifting musical experience for performers and audience alike. The concert is accompanied by the Festival Orchestra – choir’s own orchestra. Do come and join us for great evening of marvellous music.
