WORKSHOPS 2021 – 2022

South Devon Choir is running three choral workshops in its 2021-22 150th Anniversary Season.  The first, Messiah, workshop was held on 6 November 2021 to celebrate the Choir’s ‘official’ birthday.

Led by the talented and inspirational Simon Dunbavand the second in our series will be working on Gloria  John Rutter and will be held at St Matthias Church, Wellswood, Torquay on Saturday 12 February 2022.

The workshop is open to the public, tea and coffee will be available and there will be a performance to which family and friends may be invited free of charge at the end.

The third and final workshop will be A Ceremony of Psalms led by the composer, Paul Drayton. Paul has worked with a diverse range of musical genre and musicians including Duchy Opera, St Austell Community Choir, New College Choir Oxford, John Nettles (in an evening of words and music) and recently from Truro Cathedral and broadcast on Radio Three.
