Welcome to South Devon Choir and the fun, excitement and health benefits of singing. Whether you sing with us, would like to sing with us or simply want to hear some wonderful choral music we hope you will find what you need here on South Devon Choir’s website.

Our 2023-24 Season began with joint concerts with Britannia Choral Society in Dartmouth on Sunday 12 November and in Torquay on Saturday 25 November. We performed Sir Karl Jenkins The Armed Man and Fauré’s Requiem to packed houses on both nights.

Summer 2024

A Night at the Opera

Our next concert is on Saturday 29 June 2024, 7.30pm at Central Church Torquay.

It promises to be a great night of opera with glorious, uplifting solos, duets and rousing choruses from many much loved operas. The South Devon Choir is joined by some of its favourite, nationally acclaimed soloists. The evening is conducted by Simon Dunbavand with accompanist Matt Davies.

Join the choir

If you would like to come and join the Choir we rehearse on Thursdays at Central Church, Tor Hill Road, Torquay TQ2 5RN.  Doors open at 7.15pm and rehearsals start at 7.30pm until 9.30pm. We welcome new members. We are a friendly, non-audition choir and would be very pleased to have you along to try us out and hopefully to join.
